Top Favorite Videos of the Week
Youtube is full of hidden gems and it’s a bit hard to go through the load of useless content to find the really good content. Here is a selection of my top favorite videos of the week.
1.Vanessa Van Edwards’ interview by Impact Theory
This is an interview with Vanessa Van Edwards, a human behavior expert, and a writer. This is a very insightful interview about her research and her book that touches on how to read people and also how to interact with them. I’ve come to realize that as adults, we might think we have people figured out but we might be mistaken and her research is really interesting about this subject. This is just a good video to get some tips, especially some good piece of advice about ambivalent people.
2. 5 Reasons Why Intelligent People are Single! by Mensutra
This was sent to me by a friend. It’s a good boost of confidence for single people for sure. I guess he just hinted that I’m way too smart for most guys. 😉
3. An spectacular sunset on El Malecón.
One of my favorite things about my hometown is the watching the sunset in this popular street of Havana city. I’ve been a bit of homesick for a while. Especially because I miss my best friends who still live on the island and I decided to look for a video that reminded me of them.
4. Snakes Have Legs
This video represents what the internet is today. Most people don’t research their sources, they are not even willing to. The internet can be so powerful but most people are lazy or just not curious and they are too comfortable to do the extra work to collaborate that the articles and headlines that they encounter on their social media are reputable. Social Media is the equivalent of mainstream tv, especially reality tv.
5. Feminism according to Grace Jones
Last but not least, my favorite video I’ve seen this month so far. Grace Jones is a strong, confident and fabulous woman. She’s blunt, no-nonsense kind of person and she’s not afraid of speaking her mind. She’s always been this unapologetic and her opinion of feminism is something I agree with 100%.
